Generative AI and Large Language Models for Intelligent Systems – GALLIS
I. Objectives
The session organizers comprise academics, researchers, and professionals with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Data Science, Information Technology, Intelligent Systems, and emerging computing technologies. Their research interests include Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing, deep learning, intelligent decision-support systems, AI agents, data analytics, cybersecurity, and AI-enabled applications.
The organizers have extensive experience in research, teaching, international collaboration, conference organization, journal publication, and postgraduate supervision. They actively participate in interdisciplinary and international research initiatives involving the development and practical application of AI and intelligent computing technologies. Their combined academic and professional expertise will support the organization of a high-quality special session that brings together researchers, practitioners, and industry professionals working on current and emerging developments in Generative AI and intelligent computing.
II. Scope
Generative AI and Large Language Models for Intelligent Systems focuses on recent advances, methodologies, applications, and challenges associated with Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and their integration into intelligent computing systems.
The session aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, academics, industry practitioners, and postgraduate researchers to present innovative theoretical, experimental, and application-oriented work. Particular attention will be given to emerging technologies such as AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), multimodal AI, domain-specific LLMs, AI-assisted software engineering, and trustworthy and responsible AI.
The scope extends from fundamental AI methods and architectures to real-world intelligent applications in areas such as information technology, cybersecurity, education, healthcare, business, smart cities, engineering, and industrial systems. The session also welcomes research addressing the reliability, security, privacy, explainability, evaluation, governance, and ethical deployment of Generative AI and LLM-based systems.
