Securing the Digital Future: Cybersecurity, Quantum Technologies, and Blockchain (CQB)
I. Objectives
The rapid evolution of digital technologies is fundamentally transforming the way information is created, processed, transmitted, and protected. At the same time, emerging technologies such as quantum computing, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and decentralized systems are introducing both unprecedented opportunities and new security challenges.
In particular, the development of large-scale quantum computing poses a potential threat to widely deployed public-key cryptographic systems, while blockchain and decentralized technologies introduce novel security, privacy, trust, and governance challenges. These developments require researchers and practitioners to rethink conventional approaches to cybersecurity and information assurance.
This proposed special session, “Securing the Digital Future: Cybersecurity, Quantum Technologies, and Blockchain,” aims to bring together researchers, academics, industry experts, and practitioners working at the intersection of cybersecurity, quantum technologies, cryptography, blockchain, and trusted digital systems. The session will provide a multidisciplinary forum for presenting recent advances, emerging research directions, practical solutions, and open challenges related to securing next-generation digital infrastructures.
II. Scope
The primary objectives of this special session are:
- To provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to present recent advances in cybersecurity and information security.
- To explore the security implications of quantum computing and the transition toward post-quantum cryptography.
- To investigate security, privacy, trust, and resilience challenges in blockchain and decentralized systems.
- To promote interdisciplinary research connecting cybersecurity, quantum technologies, cryptography, and blockchain.
- To identify emerging threats, research challenges, and future directions for secure digital transformation.
- To foster collaboration between academic researchers, industry practitioners, technology developers, and policy makers.
